What we learn in research gets pressure-tested in client work. What client work demands, we turn into products. What our products encounter, we write about.
We design and deliver custom AI systems for organisations. Regulated sectors are our home ground: financial services, government, health, energy, defence-adjacent. Engagements start at strategy and run through to production.
How we build →We develop and curate a portfolio of AI products. Each one exists because we needed it ourselves, or because a client problem showed up often enough that a single system was the right answer. We keep the portfolio small on purpose.
What we've shipped →We run a research programme focused on making AI systems transparent and legible. Our research areas include interpretability, evaluation design, and the practical economics of frontier deployment. We publish when the work is ready, not before.
What we're studying →Our partners need AI that is correct, attributable, and safe to operate at scale.
The most important decisions about AI, who it is trained on, where its weights live, and who can be held to account for its outputs, are being made offshore and in a hurry. Australia does not have to wait.
Glassbox Labs was founded to give Australian institutions a credible local option for building, buying, and evaluating AI systems, with full visibility into how the systems work and where the data sits. We believe domestic capability is a precondition for a functioning digital economy, not a nice-to-have.
